"Water is fluid, soft, and yielding. But water will wear away rock, which is rigid and cannot yield. As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft, and yielding will overcome whatever is rigid and hard. This is another paradox: what is soft is strong." -- Lao-Tzu (600 B.C.)

What Can I Do About it?

Deep Integration & the SPP

  1. Educate everyone you know about Deep Integration and the SPP: family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours.

  2. Sign the petition against the SPP, and get everyone you know to sign it, too. http://www.peterjulian.ca/ndp-drupal/files/peterjulian/Petition_re%20SPP_%20July%202007_eng.pdf

  3. Write a letter to the editor of your local paper or submit a post to a popular blog demanding that Canada get out of the SPP.

  4. Write a letter to the Prime Minister demanding that Canada withdraw from the SPP and stop all participation in the Deep Integration agenda. Send a copy to the leaders of the opposition parties. To find contact information , go to: http://www2.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compilations/HouseOfCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC

  5. Meet your MP, or if that’s not possible, write to him/her to demand that he/she do everything possible to force the government to abandon the SPP (see link above for contact information).

  6. Work with anti-SPP groups, such as your local Council of Canadians chapter, to inform the public about this crucial issue.

  7. Support political parties that are actively working to protect Canadian independence.

TILMA

  1. Visit the STOP TILMA website for lots of action ideas, and to sign the petition against TILMA: http://groups.google.ca/group/stoptilma/web/what-you-can-do-to-stop- tilma?hl=en
  2. Tell all your family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours about TILMA and explain why it's so dangerous. Encourage them to take action.
  3. Write a letter to the editor of your local paper or post to your favourite blog demanding that B.C. withdraw from TILMA.
  4. Visit your MLA to demand that he/she fight TILMA. If that's not possible, send him/her an e-mail.
  5. Join the STOP TILMA coalition or your local Council of Canadians chapter to work to have B.C. withdraw from the agreement.
  6. Warn anyone you know in other provinces about the dangers of TILMA, as an effort is underway to expand the agreement across the country.
