What Can I Do About It?

1. Buy organic and locally produced foods whenever possible.

2. Avoid known GE foods such as conventional corn, soya, and canola.

3. When in doubt, ask your grocery store if something contains GE ingredients or not. Tell them you want non-GE foods.

4. Download the petition against Terminator seeds, sign it, and collect signatures in the community. Send it in to your MP and ask him/her to present it in Parliament.

5. Lobby your municipal council for a local ban on GE foods.

6. Download the Greenpeace petition for mandatory labelling of GE foods:

   • http://www.greenpeace.org/canada/en/documents-and-links/publications/petition- for-mandatory-labelli. Ask people in your community to sign it, and once it’s full of signatures, ask your MLA to present the petition in the Legislature.
